This workshop is all about debunking various old age myths in relation to female sexuality in a fun and engaging way (you can share as much or as little as you want). Come and join my workshop in which you will learn about how the seemingly unimportant and overlooked social and historical factors have a tremendous influence on our sexual health. Remember! Sexuality is not merely about sex and who we are having ‘IT’ with, it is much more than that!
The old age misconceptions about reproductive organs as well as female sexual desire, originating in the ancient Greek era of studying the human body, are still embedded in our modern culture. Guided by biased science on sex and gender differences in relation to sexual behaviour, the mismatched and misguided information grew tremendously during the past century.
Knowledge is power! Therefore, the ways in which these myths negatively affect sexual health (e.g., sexual behaviour; our understanding of sexual desire, attitudes, fantasies, and biases; self-esteem; and our relationship with our bodies) will be exposed in this workshop.
Although the content mainly focuses on female sexuality, this workshop is not just for women and people with vulvas. This workshop is for anyone who wants to better understand their or their partner’s sexuality to achieve more wholesome sexual health.
Come alone or with your partner (pun intended) to get empowered through developing skills to enhance body acceptance and body positivity as well as unlearn the unhealthy messages that we are – unknowingly – being force-fed about sexuality and sexual health.
Bring your non-judgmental attitude and learn about:
- The shocking history of the discovery of the clitoris.
- What is an ‘orgasm gap’ and why is it even a thing?!
- Body acceptance and body positivity
- Why men supposedly find it easier to separate sex from emotions.
- Why women are believed to “need” the experience of emotional connection to have “good” sex?
