The purpose of Djembe drums is the power of the communication skills which allows people to have their celebrations.
such as a baby naming ceremony, weddings, funerals, parties or welcoming guests to the village…..
it also supports people to release anger and stress and let go of their frustrations and communicate with their Ancestors and loved ones who have passed on.

Ali Baba Bangoura is from
Boke village is where the Djembe originates,
he teaches cultural awareness, he came first to England with the Ballet West African Dance Troupe in 1990,
he’s worked in France and UK with people with learning difficulties and disabilities and in schools teaching movement and music.
