Hey! I’m Ross Edwards DipBSoM. Welcome to my Meditation For Beginners class.
In Meditation For Beginners, we gain a solid grounding in the fundamental mindfulness skills, establish a regular practice, and learn how to bring meditation into our everyday life. We do so in a supportive group environment, which makes this process more powerful.
My emphasis is on practice. There is theory and background, but ultimately I want you to see the transformation for yourself – and practice is the key.
These classes work in 26-week cycles and cover several key themes including meditation on the breath, body scanning, emotions, and Introductory Unified Mindfulness. They are perfect if you’re new to meditation, are rusty, or have some experience but find it difficult to establish a regular practice.
I started meditating in 2016 and have since racked up 1500+ hours of sitting practice. Now a certified teacher, I try my utmost to incorporate it into all aspects of my life, and experiencing the power of meditation has led me to commit to lifelong practice.
I have written many articles on meditation for several websites and magazines, read the key works of leading teachers ancient and old, and seek out the best resources to keep expanding my knowledge. Ultimately, I see every moment as a test of my meditation skills.
You can expect close attention, simple but powerful instructions, and an open heart. My mission is to empower you to discover the power of meditation.
