This workshop will give you an insight into the theory of yin yoga and a nice long practice to experience and enjoy the benefits – your body will be soothed and your mind calmed.

This is an opportunity to go deeper with this wonderful and healing practice. There will be a short presentation where you can find out the main principles and the scientific background of yin yoga, as well as its connections to ancient philosophies, after which you are invited to take your time to enjoy a long, 90-minute class.

Yin yoga, a slow and meditative style of yoga, consists of long-held poses, practiced mainly sitting or lying on the mat. These poses promote the health of the joints and consistent practice results in a wider range of motion (“flexibility”), which can be lost by lack of exercise and ageing. Stimulating the connective tissues and the fascia balances the energy in the body’s meridians (energy channels) which positively influences the health of the main organs and the emotions associated with them. Yin yoga is accessible for anyone and beyond its physical benefits, offers relaxation and a calmer mind as well.
